FWIW, to toggle the touchpad on my laptop (Fujitsu-Siemens lifebook S  
series
running Fedora Core 5) I use

kpress("F12", "ioncore.exec_on(_, 'touchpad')")

Ah, and then press F12 to turn the keyboard back on again.... wait.... :P
