There are problems with this new release in case you choose not to use
the XINERAMA stuff (CF_NO_XINERAMA). There are several undeclared
variable errors. As I didn't want to kludge my source tree, I didn't
correct them in my local source tree. The simplest solution (at least
for me) was to compile ion with XINERAMA support even if I won't use it.

FYI, problems concern nxi and xi variables used outside of the #ifndef
CF_NO_XINERAMA where the different variables are used whereas there are
declared in the #ifndef blocks.
