In the next version of the Debian package, I was going to add an ion-devel-doc package. However, it seems like the license used by the Ion documentation, the GNU FDL 1.2, is not considered DFSG-free even though none of the options are exercised. I can't explain why though, because I haven't really followed the discussion thoroughly. At least this survey seems to suggest that the FDL is not okay, even without options: <http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2003/debian-devel-announce-200308/msg00017.html>
Tuomo, would you consider dual-licensing the documentation with a DFSG-free license, such as the GPL?
