Thanks Tuomo, Ion is a superb peice of software and has increased my
productivity no end. Traditional window managers feel incredibly awkward to
use by comparison.

Gentoo users can now get the new stable Ion by doing this:

        emerge sync
        emerge x11-wm/ion2
        emerge -C x11-wm/ion-devel

I've changed the name of the package to reflect Ion's new status.
x11-wm/ion2 will track updates to the stable branch, and I'll create
x11-wm/ion3 for the next development version when it appears. This will
eventually lend more consistency to Ion version numbering on Gentoo.

As an added bonus, if you have USE="truetype" you'll get the Xft drawing
engine installed as well, although it is not enabled by default and still
crashes on Ion exit. This only means Ion restarts don't work, and has no
other noticable effect. I've been using it for weeks now without other
problems.

Thanks again Tuomo,

Tom
