Currently, the ion3 Debian package is in the to-be-released sarge distribution. I'm not sure if this is a good thing. Normally, I wouldn't want development branches to go in Debian stable, but the Ion development versions have always been quite stable. On the other hand, it might not be such a good thing that configuration files might stop working after an upgrade.
