The Subject mentioned CRA- that’s why my feedback.
„ Re: [Eurosmart - IoT] Draft position paper on CRA revision“

If the position is limited to CSA
Then I am fine to leave it as is.

Dear all,

The proposed text is fine with me

@ Preeti, I do not think we should mix topics but focus on CSA only. Otherwise I fear the message will be diluted

Rgds,

Philippe

Subject: [Eurosmart - Board] Re: [Eurosmart - IoT] Draft position paper on CRA revision

Hallo Pierre-Jean,

Overall okay for me except one thing.

It is unclear from the paper how this step on EU CSA will also impact EU CRA. It would be important to repeat a couple of our previous CRA feedback statements in Introducing the context:

- Eurosmart‘s position for high security products is to have these harmonised with existing security certification schemes eg EUCC. We want these strongly referenced as evidence of compliance in the Final wording of the law.

- For Class1 and Class2, 3rd party security certification scheme for which harmonisation will be required with Cybersecurity Act‘s Substantial and Basic security.

What do you think- could you kindly these?

Best regards,

Preeti

Dear all,

Friday the board approved the main messages of the attached paper and asked for some adjustments. You’ll find some additional elements in track changes:

  1. On ITRE amendment:
    1. make clear that this approach only targets political issues of the EUCS but will have side-effects on the other schemes,
    2. No Eurosmart position on EUCS but acknowledge that the European Commission delegated powers shall remain technical.
  1. Recognize the role of ECCG but better coordination is necessary.
  2. Maintenance ecosystem and ISAC model:  need to recognize the legacy from SOGIS-MRA and enhance public-private partnerships for upcoming schemes, maintenance etc.

If you do not have any other remarks by today EOB, this document will be published and disseminated.

Best regards,

Pierre-Jean
