To Iotivity and OSWG members,

In the OSWG meeting this week, the present members discussed CBOR and its
standard status. As a group, we committed to supporting CBOR and we strongly
recommend making CBOR mandatory and other encoding (including JSON) as
optional. I believe the Iotivity project contributors are in agreement on
this issue.

We believe the benefits of CBOR are important for the small devices and low
power wireless networks.
