June,
Going forward, I would really prefer one contributor to be responsible for a
feature. It is very hard to determine when a feature is done with one group is
dependent on another group to complete a feature.

Hi Vijay,

Ok, That?s clear. Let?s remove BWT in 0.9.2 and we are going to tag ?0.9.2-RC2?
today.
But please let us know when you resolve all the RI layer problems.

The minor change I was referring to involves disabling/updating checks
involving MAX_REQUEST_LENGTH and MAX_RESPONSE_LENGTH. This is one change I
know off the top of my head, perhaps there are more changes that might be
required. After all necessary changes are made all C/C++ APIs have to be
tested with large payloads to fully exercise BWT. The RI test team cannot
ramp-up/design/implement/run BWT test cases in a short time frame.

Hi Vijay,

When do you expect to resolve the issues on RI layer?
If you can fix the problems within 1 day, then we can wait for the patches,
but if not, I think we have to remove the Block-wise transfer on 0.9.2.
(The thing is BWT is in the scope of 0.9.2 that is delivered to SWG.)

Regards
June

Vijay.

I'm really afraid of keeping due date for v0.9.2

Of course, we can handle it. But, it isn't possible to finish on time, I
think,

We have to find which parts should be changed, and what is the right
direction to enable BWT in RI layer..

Because we don't know about 'some minor changes' that you said..

I think we need at least a couple of days to find and change it..

And, actually I think, you can do this more effectively better than us if
June decides to give some time for it, right ?

June, Pat

What do you think about it ?

Thanks.

With regards to BWT, my understanding is that the feature has been tested and
sample applications have been provided only at the CA layer. The resource
introspection layers requires some minor changes to enable BWT, and
additionally testing/sample applications are is required at the C/C++ layer.
MJ ? are these (RI changes, sample apps, validation at RI) going to be handled
by your team?

If there only a few fixes are required, then let?s go forward with BWT feature
included in 0.9.2

MJ,
No worries. I am ok with it if we get an approval from June and the test
engineering folks.
Luckily your feature is hidden from the API. Otherwise, I would have to get an
approval from more folks like documentation, etc.
June, Jawid and other QA folks,
Other than Jawid, who should provide approval for late feature inclusion?
Can I get an approval for MJ?s work of 0.9.2? It is in master. It needs a few
fixes, but is looking good. If we delay the decision, we will not be able to
run enough testing over his work for the release. So, please respond ASAP.

Hi, Erich.

Thanks for rebasing and mergiing this changes..

And I understand what you said about applying master branch only..

I'll wait on June/Pat's decision, too.

Thanks.

This patch is just about ready for master, there is need for antoher
rebase, which I'm doing, but it seems like it should get in.

I'll wait on Pat/June before cherry-pick however, my understanding is
that June intentionally set the Feature-Freeze date however.
