Thanks for the information Radha. I'm interested in knowing where in the 
application or C/C++ code a BSP interface has been exchanged for a file input 
interface. Also, when this is done, how accurately are peripheral register 
transactions modeled, how are interrupts handled, etc? Ultimately I'd like to 
understand how a file can replace board-level hardware with equal fidelity. 

I apologize for being ambiguous in the first email. Do you see a bit better the 
sorts of questions I meant to ask?
