Hi all,
We have a vacant seat in ISG which is a Release Management Function [1] and
highly welcome any of qualified volunteers for that position, so please
send your bio to me if you are interested in this position by end of the
week. Role and responsibility of the function leader can be found at [2].
[1] Release Management
Function Leader: Vacency
The Release Management Function is responsible for:
- Planning for IoTivity continuous releases (nightly, weekly builds,
etc.)
- Planning for IoTivity official releases, including those that are
compliant to the OIC specifications
- Interacting with the Planning Function and IoTivity Projects to:
- Plan and confirm what features and requirements are applied for which
delivery
- Track to meet requirements and commitments to each delivery
- Track risks and challenges, progress of delivery, providing
feedback to the Planning Function
- Executing Quality Assurance checks on the source code during
development and prior to releases
- Raising issues for consideration by the IoTivity community and the
IoTivity Steering Group when goals may be affected
[2] A *Function Leader* is a Contributor who is responsible for leading an
activity that affects many or all of the IoTivity source code projects or a
non-technical activity. Leaders are responsible for setting the goals for
the short and medium term for the activity they lead, interacting with the
other Contributors and guiding them towards the common goals. Leaders are
members of the IoTivity Steering Group.
