Gerrit fell over because it ran out of memory. It's still unclear what explicitly caused this. Though I suspect because it hasn't been reoccurred is due to a bug in Gerrit, and not a lack of system resources. I'm going to mark this resolved for now, and reopen the issue if we run into this again.
