Yes this will work I've done something similar already

Note I used linux as os_target on Tizen:2.4 TM1 and Tizen common...

For that, would it be possible to create a minimal "iotivity-example"
project outside iotivity tree,
It would be more convenient to have it living standalone for various
configurations setup
(yocto, buildtools, bots etc) ...
