Hi Uze Choi,

I was able to setup IoTivity on Ubuntu. The basic simulator is working fine for
?/BinarySwitch?.
But my question is how do I setup real IoT physical device (like Philips Hue
Bridge and Lumen Bulb) to this simulator.

I am a Java developer and don?t have experience in C/C++.
Do I need to write C++ code to register, find, setting & observing an IoT
device?

Hope you understand my concerns. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Sachin

Hi Sachin,

By today or tomorrow, we are supposed to set up the simulator plugin into the
iotivity web site for online installation(as like the ADT way before).
You can wait for this event for easily setup the simulator without your
compilation effort.

Hi Radha,

I?ve started using IoTivity for one of my POC. I got your email id from online
forum and noticed that you are one of its developers. Great work from your side.
I was able to setup IoTivity simulator. Although I had encountered C++ error
while running command ?scons SIMULATOR=1?, but the patch for it had the fix.

My next goal is to use this simulator to pair with real world IoT device (like
Philips Hue with Lumen bulb). The online documentation for IoTivity is not so
great.
Could you please guide me further?

Appreciate your time on this. Thanks a lot.

Regards,
-Sachin
