Hi IoTivity dev community members,
Having an easy to use and quick to market IoT solutions are future of IoT business. Another important attribute is light in weight because in general IoT devices will be holding less memory as compared to high end smart devices. Considering above key quality attributes, I would like to propose "IoT Software Platform" a packaged solution that has Kernel, Engine/Compiler/Interpreter & IoT framework. 1st proof of concept will be based on TBD a light weight and easy to configure RTOS, Jerry script a light weight JavaScript engine and IoT.js an IoT framework powered by Jerry script and compliant to OCF. Source code for each element of this activity may reside in IoTivity git or external git, but shall follow Apache 2.0 license agreement. Since packaged solution is targeting OCF, there will be relevant Wiki page in IoTivity website. This email is to collect feedback and interests for this proposed activity under IoTivity open source project. Collected feedback will be presented to IoTivity Steering Group for further approval and creation of entry in IoTivity activities Wiki page. Detailed discussion in terms of design, development schedule, developer guide & QA will happen during ISG sessions subsequently.
