The MacOS and iOS builds are currently without a maintainer and have clearly decayed in quality. The MacOS build is still done by Jenkins to validate commits so it's not completely ignored. It's great that you got as far as you did (my test builds for MacOS get nowhere near this far). If you come up with changes, let's submit them, then we will have to figure out who would be able to merge them.
