It's always been intended that one of the pathways into OCF
specifications is for a feature to be "proven" in the iotivity
implementation, and then proposed from there.  I couldn't enumerate
them, but there have been such features in the past.  So I don't see a
problem with non-OCF features.


You lost me there. Non-OCF  features are, uh, non-OCF features. What are
they doing in the reference implementation of OCF?
