./prep.sh script can come in handy

well git modules could be an option too I considered it a couple of time.
it would be also nice to have them pulled into tarball ,
or maybe we want to avoid to mix different licences ?

FYI, I checked tinycbor-0.5 it works with changes I mentioned earlier
