Annoying someone via the Internet is now a federal crime.
It's no joke. Last Thursday, President Bush signed into law a
prohibition on posting annoying Web messages or sending annoying e-
mail
messages without disclosing your true identity. ...
Apparently Bush and Congress forgot the reasons why the nation's much-
referenced "Founding Fathers" wrote anonymously, ALL of their
published debate letters that came to be known as The Federalist
Papers (AND the less-known/unsuccessful Anti-Federalist Papers).
It's generally accepted that the Federalist Papers compose the third-
most important document in American government and jurisprudence --
even though the specific authorship of each of its individuals papers
has never been proven for sure. It is preempted only by the
Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. (But then again,
they don't seem to be paying much attention to significant parts of t
hose documents, either!)
