Dave, I've been in an ITU workshop on networked RFID this week in Geneva and it is very clear from the presentations that the experts envision mobile phones converging rapidly with RFID and Near Field Communications (NFC) solutions (as is happening in places that are far advanced in this field such as Japan and Korea). It's worth taking a look at some of the current initiatives and future visions at the workshop website at: http://www.itu.int/ITU-T/worksem/rfid/program.html There are also complete audio archives to go with these presentations at http://www.itu.int/ibs/ITU-T/rfid06/index.html cheers, RS -- Robert Shaw <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Deputy Head, ITU Strategy and Policy Unit ------------------------------------- You are subscribed as [email protected] To manage your subscription, go to http://v2.listbox.com/member/?listname=ip Archives at: http://www.interesting-people.org/archives/interesting-people/
