Allegheny County recently held elections with electronic voting
machines.
Only one software version was approved, but at least 2 versions were
used,
making the election here illegal. The local paper declared in a headline
that the voting machines "worked well" -- as if "working" means going
through the motions of voting with no assurance that votes are actually
counted.
