The article didn't mention that in the bitterly contested 2000
election, the Florida Secretary of State -- whose office is now
insisting that it be the only party allowed to test the machines --
was a partisan campaign chairperson and thus had a vested interest in
the outcome. Any such policy is cause for great concern for obvious
reasons.
