ACTION: Final rule. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: This document addresses the assistance capabilities required, pursuant to section 103 of the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA) for facilities-based broadband Internet access providers and providers of interconnected Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). More generally, the Second Report and Order and Memorandum Opinion and Order (Second R&O and MO&O) specifies mechanisms to ensure that telecommunications carriers comply with CALEA.
