One thing that I forgot to add:

TRANSFERRING OBJECTS BETWEEN THE MAC AND THE VM: Parallels makes it really easy, once you read the f#*%()[EMAIL PROTECTED] manual. All you have to do is set up one or more folders that are seen in common by both OS's. Then, anything that you drop into one is available to the other. This includes .exe files that you can download in the Mac and open in Windows, for example. Or image files (.jpg, .gif, etc.), or .pdfs. So, you don't have to risk downloading unseen malware into your Windows environment (unless, of course, the object you download is itself infected); you can download it with a Mac browser and then drop it into the shared window. Also, text snippets copied to the clipboard freely transfer between the two environments.

If you have to use Windows for some reason, this can be a really liberating experience!
