I don't know if any of your tech-savvy readership has been
following the
kerfuffle in Connecticut over the Dem primary -- Sen. Lieberman
charges
shadowy Lamont forces "hacked" his web site; bloggers dig up a
growing pile
of circumstantial evidence pointing to missteps by Lieberman's own
campaign
-- but I would very much like to hear thoughts from anyone who has
been
following this.
A follow up report on Crooks and Liars* mentioned that Lieberman's
website was hosted on a $15/month shared website account on
MyHostCamp.com with a 10 gb/month bandwidth limit (if you try to
access www.joe2006.com, a suspended account error is visible). If
this is the case, this is just rank stupidity by the campaign's IT
staff trying to save a few bucks. It's entirely possible that they
hit their bandwidth limit and were shut off. If this is the case,
then it's incredibly cynical to try to blame this blunder on
machinations by Lamont's campaign...
