Subject: Re: [IP] more on stature?
McCain is viewed as a "nutty" Senator by many Republicans,
particularly by Rove, et al.
The same lack of "stature" seems to apply to the various flag-rank
retired military professionals who have resigned quietly, rather than
participate in the fiasco.
I've thus concluded (as I noted) that stature no longer means what it
used to mean. What we used to call character is now viewed by the
media and by nattering nabobs of Neoconservatism as lunatic treason.

more
stature do you need?

Forgive me for laughing. You want somebody of "stature" to stand up
to the bullies and a**holes who can't see how torture degrades them
in the eyes of the world?
The problem is that "stature" today means a well-known person who has
made a career ov being an opportunistic suck-up to the rich and
powerful. Someone who lacks personal courage and builds his
reputation by paying image consultants like people used to pay
hairdressers.
Being saved by a coward seems unlikely.
