Dear Experts,
I have read a little about this problem in other posts on this list, but
there doesn't seem to be a resolution of the issue. So I thought I would
like to ask and see if anyone has solved the problem yet.
The problem is that using the -tos (-S) option on IPERF does not work on
windows.
I have tried the native windows version 1.7.0 and that gives this error
'getpeername failed: Socket is not connected', when using -S.
I have compiled 2.0.4 on windows by using cygwin. That seems to silently
fail and not send any packets when --tos is used on the command line.
The 2.0.4 version using --tos works on Linux, but I need this to work on
windows also (test department can't use Linux!!)
I have set DisableUserTOSSetting in the windows registry to 0, as
Microsoft suggest, but this doesn't seem to make any difference and
there is still a problem.
Thanking you in advance for any help you may be able to give on this
matter.
We are using WinXP SP2, Linux 2.4.23.
Regards
Cliff george
