Subject: Iperf and NAT-Traversal and UDP uses 100% CPU

Hi,

I am having difficulty using iperf from behind a NAT. I don't have
access to the change the port forwarding.
System is to test connectivity for mobile clients. So they move around,
and admins at each site are not always cooperative, with firewalls, NATs
and so on. The server is on a public static ip address.

So for TCP in need the server to keep the TCP connection open that was
init by the client and send the return data back down the same
connection.

For the UDP I need the listening source and remote ports to remain the
same so that the NAT translation table will forward udp traffic
properly.

Has anybody tried this, and do the have a patch that will sort this out?

Second, UDP in server mode uses 100% CPU. I am using cygwin, on windows
xp.

Launch the server OK, and the CPU is OK. But after data starts to arrive
from the client (even with a low bandwidth stream 10K over Ethernet) the
CPU goes to 100% and the server stops responding.

Similarly, any ideas?
