The direct answer is there is no *variable* rate control for iperf as in the current code base. It could be added and it wouldn’t take a lot of code. It also depends on what is to be varied.
As far as simulating from different ip addresses. Iperf operates as the “TCP/UDP” socket layer so IP addresses are set by the operating system per things like the routing table. Port variation would be doable but again, it’s not part of the existing code. Bob From: MD I.
