-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 So there are a couple of things that I should mention...
In SNMP traps, the trap message should include the IP address of the sender. This raises the obvious question of which address, of the many configured, should ipmon use? Should the address be configurable per action or should the same address be used for all traps? Next is the request id. This is SNMPv2 specific. At present I set this to 0...but should it be something else? All of the error fields, in both v1 and v2, I set to 0. Should one of these reflect some specific thing from the ipfilter log information? Last but not least, each SNMP trap carries a time field in it that says how long "it" has been up. I'm not sure what to do about this. At present I just report the time of the log event. But should it report the "ipf ticks" value or actual system uptime?
