people keep hassling me and I've finally got it to a point where it's
got a bunch of new things I've been hacking on since january done.
most of this work is geared towards better performance where lots
of networks are passing through it.

don't ask me for docs, there are none. have a look at what's in the
test directory for clues about what's been added if you don't want
to read the source. docs will come later. there's bits and pieces
in emails over the last 2 years about things I've added.

i'm not sure it's really ready for solaris yet, there's lots of smp
locking stuff I need to go back and visit. oh, you will need pfil
for solaris before ipfilter will work.

one thing I haven't yet finalised is whether or not to do nat for
ipv6. is anyone interested or is the need for proxy support enough
motivation ? also, what about compiling in NAT rules ? is that just
as worthwhile as for ipf rules ? Do people using IPFilter in other
things think this would be useful ? (no need for configuration file
to load nat/ipf rules.)

target platforms it builds upon:
hpux, irix, solaris, sunos, *bsd
and there's a start on tru64/osf(mmm, retrocomputing!)
