Hi guys, me again sorry. Still having teething trouble with my IPfilter
firewall and NAT router.

Seems that Direct Connect, a filesharing program you may well have heard
of, is not working properly.

It is making it's TCP connections and redirects it appears, but then
when I start a download it just sits there and no file transfer is
happening. At first i thought it was the firewall but it appears not to
be because I used a default pass all ruleset and it still didn't work.
Now with my adsl modem hooked up direct to this machine it works fine so
it has to be the redirects.

here is my ipnat ruleset:

map pppoe0 192.168.0.0/24 -> 0/32 proxy port 21 ftp/tcp mssclamp 1452
map pppoe0 192.168.0.0/24 -> 0/32 portmap tcp/udp 10000:60000 mssclamp
1452
map pppoe0 192.168.0.0/24 -> 0/32 mssclamp 1452

# Direct connect

rdr pppoe0 202.76.166.28/32 port 411 -> 192.168.0.1 port 411 tcp/udp
rdr pppoe0 202.76.166.28/32 port 412 -> 192.168.0.1 port 412 tcp/udp
rdr pppoe0 202.76.166.28/32 port 413 -> 192.168.0.1 port 413 tcp/udp
rdr pppoe0 202.76.166.28/32 port 1081 -> 192.168.0.1 port 1081 tcp/udp

I'm currently using port 1081 as my direct connect port but it doesn't
make a difference which of the 4 options I choose.

What is the best way to troubleshoot this? the redirects appear
correct.

The firewall is configured to allow those ports through with:

pass in quick on pppoe0 proto tcp from any to any port = 1081 keep state

pass in quick on pppoe0 proto udp from any to any port = 1081 keep state

and they are the second set of rules in my list, and the ones above are
also pass in rules.

but then no packets are being logged while I am trying to download these
files.

ipnat -l is showing redirects in action on port 1081 but still files are
not going through

Any help as usual will be appreciated :)

Andy
