With thanks to the individuals who helped with my problem of ipmon not
logging correctly, here is the fix in case it is useful to anyone else./etc/rc.conf: ipmon_enable="YES" ipmon_flags="-Dvn /var/log/ipf.log" /etc/syslog.conf: !ipmon local0.* <tab> /var/log/ipf.log /etc/newsyslog.conf: /var/log/ipf.log <tab> 600 <tab> 5 <tab> * <tab> $D0 <tab> /var/run/ipmon.pid That line should all be on one line.
