Hello,
I'm trying to stop flagrant atempts at mail relaying

see, for example, http://www.benzedrine.cx/relaydb.html ( | sed s/pf/ipf/g )

i.e., you could rdr the attempts into a tar pit such as spamd.

but i think you will soon feel like sisyphus -- chasing after
a never ending slew of IP addresses (ab)used by financially
motivated folks with a lot more time on their hands than you.

if your [sendmail|qmail|postfix] MTA is properly configured,
any attempted mail relaying should be headed off with minimal
resource consumption. or is this not the case?
