Happy New Year everyone!

You may get better if you change the compile option from "-g" to "-xO5" or "-O3" for DEBUG in the top level Makefile.
With the holidays and all, it took a while to push for this migration. As everyone returned to work in the morning of the 5th, packet loss went as high as 33%.
Then they all went to the New Year meeting, which gave me a chance to try out -O3 and reboot.
Once they returned the highest impact we saw was 17% packet loss, so it did have some impact. (As everyone returned within the same 5 minute interval, I would have expected the load to peak even more than usual).
Darren,
As our stress testing can panic pfil-2.1.4 & ipfilter 4.1next within 2-3 hours, would you prefer us to stay with that version until you feel there is need to try a newer build.
OR
Some people here have suggested that pfil 2.1 was more stable, should I downgrade and try that out?
