I believe someone else on the list also noticed this problem and pasted the complete panic. The savecore info is below though...
IP Filter bug report form. -------------------------- IP Filter Version: 4.1.5 Pfil Version: 2.1.5 Operating System Version: Solaris 8 32 bit Configuration: LKM Compiled with: gcc 2.95.3 Description of problem:
attempted to bump up from 4.1.3 to 4.1.5 which produced:
Jan 20 17:28:27 sunspot-thin2 savecore: [ID 570001 auth.error] reboot after panic: BAD TRAP: type=9 (Data fault) rp=fbf42484 addr=8 mmu_fsr=326 rw=1 occurred in module "genunix" due to a NULL pointer dereference
This would happen right after /etc/rc2.d/S71rpc was run (or maybe during). Rolling back to 4.1.3 removed the panic.
How to repeat:
Happens with each attempt to cleanly compile and install 4.1.5.
