Would you be willing to share your notes on this, I have been able to compile 4.1.6 but install problems persist, what next, I believe that a make install-linux produces the following errors:

Try this patch for size.
You should remove Linux/ip_nat.c after applying the patch to
make
sure that file gets rebuilt and the .o's recompiled.
