Semi-offtopic for IPF, but related:
I'm running an IPF firewall at home, and I'm finally forced to set up
some rules limiting certain applications on the home network to certain
hours. Fortunately I'm not concerned about port-morphing P2P networks
and such, just blocking AIM and some websites after a certain time of
night.
I am just wondering if anybody knows a good reference for what
Internet resources (ports, server IP addresses, etc.) specific Windows
applications may require, so that I can readily set up an alternate IPF
ruleset that blocks AIM and toggle it on and off from cron. (Rules in
IPF format would be a big bonus, but if I can find the basic info, I
can put it into IPF format.)
Thanks!
