install ipfilter on Red Hat 9

Hi all,        On the home page of ipfilter, said: It has been tested and run on: Linux(*) 2.4 - 2.6.But the file named INSTALL.LINUX said : Linux is no longer supported.,which is in the packet of ip_fil4.1.9. I want to know ip_fil4.1.9 can or not be installed on Red Hat 9.If can how to install it? Thanks
