Hello,
I posted a message a few weeks ago about problems we're having with
pfil, but haven't seen any response. The problem is that we start losing
packets when pfil is loaded (no ipf at all).
I ran a ping overnight, and came up with these results:
61976 packets transmitted, 43449 received, 29% packet loss, time 61997535ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.997/1.279/994.080/4.765 ms, pipe 2
on the server having the problem, I ran ndd -get /dev/pfil qif_status at hourly
intervals.
for bge0, num stayed at 0, sap stayed at 800, hl stayed at 14, nr increased
steadily from 3537 to 200. nw also increased at the same rate. bad, copy,
copyfail, drop, notip, nodata, tdata were all zero
for qif, the story is similar: num stayed at 1, sap at 816, hl at 0. nr and nw
increased, although not at the same rate as bge0. the rest of the fields were
zero.
