Darren,

I just installed pfil 4.1.8 and ipfilter 4.1.11 on a Sun
V210 running Solaris 10. I notice the following complaint
on the console at reboot:

Rebooting with command: boot Boot device: /[EMAIL PROTECTED],600000/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/[EMAIL PROTECTED],0:a File and args: SunOS Release 5.10 Version Generic_118833-03 64-bit

Hardware watchdog enabled
qif_timeout 3ffffffffffff638
Hostname: borax
borax console login:

and I find the following in my syslog:

borax pfil: [ID 578296 kern.notice] qif_timeout 3ffffffffffff638

Otherwise, everything seems to be fine.

Dear Readers, I have updated my "How to Install Public-Domain
Ipfilter on Solaris 10" document:

http://www.colby.edu/personal/j/jaearick/sysadmin/sol10.ipfilter.upgrade

The main thing I have discovered in the last couple of upgrades
is the disappearance of svc configs for pfil and ipfilter, step 3
in my writeup fixes this problem.
