I was wondering if anyone is using ipfilter under Linux in a production
setting yet? I see occasional traffic on the list discussing Linux support,
but my impression was that it was still rather rough.

We're going to be deploying some Linux systems to replace some aging
Solaris boxes, and I need to decide what to do about a host firewall. To be
blunt, iptables makes me puke :(. The syntax is horrid, and the
functionality seems scattered. Unfortunately, I don't think there's much
else available, unless ipfilter has become stable enough. We're looking at
Red Hat 4 for systems running commercial software, and Gentoo for boxes
only running open-source...

Thanks...
