Your guess is most likely correct; since that is the way it is handled

I'll try that and let you know.
Hm, compiling, pkg-building and pkg-adding works fine. Rebooting to! :-)
But, rebooting (boot -r) and (as suggested by the pfil README file)
executing:
# strconf < /dev/le
le
shows 'le' *only*, not 'pfil \n le' which I am expecting; according to:
"(assuming there is a hme network interface configured). This should
produce two lines of output, one with 'pfil' (1st) and one with 'hme'
(2nd)."
As You can see below the kernel and devices seem to be in place:
# ls -ald /dev/pfil
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root other 29 Jul 17 16:44 /dev/pfil ->
../devices/pseudo/[EMAIL PROTECTED]:pfil
# ls -ald /devices/pseudo/[EMAIL PROTECTED]:pfil
crw------- 1 root root 52, 0 Jul 17 16:44 /devices/pseudo/[EMAIL
PROTECTED]:pfil
# ls -ald /kernel/drv/pfil*
-rwxr-xr-x 2 root root 50300 Jul 17 16:40 /kernel/drv/pfil
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 41 May 2 2000 /kernel/drv/pfil.conf
# ls -ald /kernel/strmod/pfil*
-rwxr-xr-x 2 root root 50300 Jul 17 16:40 /kernel/strmod/pfil
Any thoughts about this?
