I have previously compiled ipfilter/pfil on SPARC Solaris10
& x86 Solaris 9 without problems.
Now, I'm trying to put it onto a Sun V65 (dual Xeons).
I cannot get pfil 2.1.11 or 2.1.12 to compile. Nor can I get
ipfilter version 4.1.19 to compile.
There are mismatches with system header files and reported
syntax errors. At least one of the problems (mismatch in
number of arguments) is the same as recently reported by
someone using early release Solaris 11.
I've tried the latest Sun Studio 11 compilers plus various
gcc. I'm using Sun's make (latest version). My system is
fully patched to date and is Solaris 10 6/6 version.
Could someone advise a revision of ipfilter and pfil that
are likely to compile on Solaris 10 X86 and also advise
which compilers/make you used?
