My apologies for the Solaris build problems, that was inexcusable.
Of course I can't just let that sit, so I've bumped the rev up one.
I've also been doing some more hacking on a DNS proxy:
http://coombs.anu.edu.au/~avalon/dns-proxy_1.1.1.tar.gz
I'm trying to build 4.1.26 on an x86 box, and I get some warnings: it's
trying to optimize ror SPARC:
cc -Xa -xildoff -xarch=v8 -xmemalign=8s -I. -g -I../.. -D_BSD_SOURCE
-DSOLARIS2=10 -c ../../lib/addicmp.c -o addicmp.o
cc: Warning: illegal use of -xarch option, illegal value ignored: v8
cc: Warning: illegal option -xarch=v8
cc: Warning: illegal option -xmemalign=8s
I only untarred the archive and ran "make solaris".
It comes from that line in the buildsunos script, which forces SPARC
optimization on any 32 bit box when using SunCC, regardless of the CPU:
XARCH32="-Xa -xildoff -xarch=v8 -xmemalign=8s"
