A friend of mine sent me a post by someone complaining about searches in Mail on iOS 7 now taking minutes. He quoted this (and says he agrees): "Now with iOS7, search is stalled as a search in body takes the server minutes to respond, even though body of emails are irrelevant. I tried with entering "from:" in the search field but it still takes minutes, so I assume body search is still performed."
For me, searches in Mail on iOS 7 are faster than on iOS 6 and are near instantaneous response. I use iCloud mail. My friend's mail server is at Cornell edu, and I believe they use MS Exchange ( and I see that in his headers). Is it possible that iOS 7 is having issues with searching Exchange servers? Anybody know? -Kevin
