A friend of mine upgraded his iPad 3 to 8.1 and now his French and Italian dictionaries he used to use are no longer available. They work for me on my iPad Air running 8.1, but not on his iPad 3 running 8.1.
You would think from this screenshot he sent me that the Italian and French dictionaries are already installed. But where his icon is an empty circle vs. an iCloud download, mine shows a small “x” for those dictionaries already downloaded. Here’s his screenshot: Should he just delete iBooks app and reinstall it? I don’t know if he has data in iBooks that might not have come from the iBookstore. In the event that he does, and since he backs up to iCloud, can he restore specifically his iBooks data without having to do a complete restore of his device? K
