Hello,
As I mentioned in a previous post, I would like to get an iphone. However, I am still struggling with the rotor gesture. I know the rotor is used to access settings such as speech rate, typing mode, as well as changing how you navigate a webpage or application, so it's an important gesture. The only way I can do the gesture is if I put my fingers on the screen and turn the device which is a bit awkward to do with an ipad. I can sometimes envoke the rotor by holding one finger stationary and drawing a circle around it with another finger, but I've noticed that when doing this, I hear the sound that Voiceover makes when it thinks you're exploring. THEREFORE, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the motion down? I've heard from some people that you rotate your fingers while others say the motion is twist at the wrist. Which is correct and is there a way to practice making the gesture without the screen? This is the only thing that is preventing me from getting an iphone aside from not being able to type fast which will come with practice, but I just can't seem to get the rotor down.
Thank you,
Kelsey Nicolay
