Because that was Apple's decision on the UI. I know I don't want people 
accepting calls on my phone and would consider that a massive privacy and 
security violation.

That is not a hack, much less a 'bark-at-the-moon' hack. Any button press will 
stop the ringer, double tapping the power button will reject the call.
