I'm not going to argue that you shouldn't put ads on an iPhone Web App  
-- you gotta make money somehow. But make sure you consider this:

1) Screen real estate is extremely limited. So limited, in fact, that  
users may resent ads taking up what little space there is.
2) With an EDGE connection, every resource needs to count. You want to  
make sure you don't bog down a page load just for an ad.
