Although not strictly webdev, I've seen posts discussing the built-in apps & data formats...
Here are some first steps towards "importing" to Notes.app/notes.db http://conceptdev.blogspot.com/2007/11/iphoneipod-touch-notes-fonts-and-styles.html There's also an effort to 'link' data from a web-based app into Notes http://conceptdev.blogspot.com/2007/11/add-recipes-to-notesapp-for-iphoneipod.html I'm wary of spending time "application-izing" it, as Apple may at any time actually release the 'synchronization' functionality in iTunes... but at least now I can carry around all the little tidbits I previously dumped in the Notes folder of my iPod nano via 'disk use' access.
